Rodger Free

June 1969 - April 1993

I received the following email from Kenneth "Scott" Dickinson

This is some information about Rodger Free, now deceased. My name is Scott
Dickinson and I was his best friend. He was wheelchair bound and had a
teacher come to his house to teach him. He very much wanted to be able to
roam the halls of HHS but his medical condition would not allow him to. He
would ask me questions about high school life and I would fill him in on
what it was like. He enjoyed going to the movies, building models and
playing on the computer. He lived longer than the doctors figured, as he was
a fighter and an adventurer, and if you were ever in the subdivisions behind
Winn-Dixie you probably saw him driving around in his electric wheelchair
with a smile on his face. He was a good friend with a heart of gold.

Thanks,
Scott Dickinson
