Welcome back Class of 1974!

        President's Message

Hi Classmates,

Bet it's been a very long time since someone has referred to you in those terms.........more often....Hey Mom, Hey Dad, Boss, or just Hey You......but classmates???

Well, thanks to the great and undying efforts of many of our Classmates led by Kathy Heffley, Russ Manson and fellow reunion committee members, we'll get the chance to use those terms face to face in the upcoming "30th Reunion" for the class of 1974 of Havelock High School.

It has been fun to look on the website and see not only those who have changed but those who have not.....but we don't like you folks as much....Life has been  good to so many of us and whether you live near Havelock now or are far away, I truly hope you plan to return and spend the weekend sharing war stories of high school.  Many of you are probably living those days anew through your children.......did we feel the pressure of all these AP classes and college searches?  I'm glad we graduated when we did!!!

Recently I had the privilege of being in Havelock to accompany my parents to the 50th Celebration of Annunciation Catholic Church and had the additional pleasure of running into Jim Morrison and Raymond Spillane.  No No NO, none of us look any different.....alright just a little older but it was a great feeling to reconnect, even if so briefly, and relive the past.

My father is in Britthaven Nursing home in Havelock and so each time I visit I drive right past the High School.....it looks nice......the fields, the buses, the history, the memories.  It never seems like it was so very long ago......so I hope that many if not every one is making plans to attend the reunion. Come remember those years, revisit the memories and share what has transpired in your life.

The committee has worked hard and we give them much praise in advance....thank you for the hours you have spent and the opportunity that you are providing for us...to everyone else, Come, Visit, Remember and Enjoy some time with those you spent four years with in Havelock High School.

Mark those dates, reply soon and COME.....Looking forward to seeing everyone.
