Remembering The Way it Was up through 1970!

Like Arnold's on Happy Days, the Jet Drive Inn was one of our gathering places after school. We also had the Pastime Cafe Billiard Parlor across the street from Havelock Junior High and on weekend nights the Teen Club on the base. In every case we listened or danced to the music of the time. It seemed that music was at the heart of our every activity.

Listed here below are the top ten hits of the year that we graduated and the artists that  rode those tunes to super stardom. With the advent of the Internet, personal computers, compact discs and the rest of the advances in data technology, we have here the amazing ability to "link" each song title to a host server computer where a video disc featuring each song can be viewed and enjoyed. Thinking in terms of how things were in the 60s, this is utterly amazing! Enjoy your hits!
